Livingston County, NY – A 33 year old man was taken into custody following a recent investigation into the use of counterfeit currency at local businesses, according to the Livingston County Sheriff 's Office.
According to Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty, Nicholas Hendricks was arrested on Wednesday, September 4, 2026. The suspect allegedly passed fake currency at various business locations throughout the towns of Springwater and Nunda.
Authorities have charged Hendricks with felony offenses related to the distribution of counterfeit funds. The Livingston County Sheriff 's Office continues to process the case as part of their ongoing efforts to address fraudulent activity in the region.
