Las Vegas, Nevada – Fall begins with summerlike heat Tuesday as Las Vegas reaches 90 degrees, with temperatures set to climb through the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, highs across the region will run a few degrees below normal Tuesday despite reaching the 80s and 90s in many locations. A warming trend then develops, raising temperatures a few degrees each day through the weekend.
Las Vegas is expected to reach 90 degrees Tuesday after a morning low of 71. Lake Havasu will be considerably hotter, reaching 96 after a low of 77.
Conditions will be somewhat cooler in Kingman, where the high reaches 86 degrees and the low is 65. Pahrump reaches 85 with a low of 65, while Daggett climbs to 88 after a low of 67.
Bishop also reaches 85 degrees, but the morning temperature drops to 48, creating the widest day to night temperature range among the locations highlighted by the Weather Service.
Despite the calendar marking the first day of fall, Tuesday's temperatures remain warm across southern Nevada and surrounding portions of Arizona and California. Anyone spending extended time outside should account for afternoon temperatures reaching the upper 80s and 90s in lower desert communities.
Tuesday represents the cooler starting point for the coming warming trend. Temperatures will rise a few degrees each day through the weekend, extending the stretch of warm early fall weather across the region.
