According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, temperatures will remain cooler Wednesday under partly cloudy skies. Highs across the region will range from 63 to 66 degrees before overnight temperatures fall into the 39 to 50 degree range.
Only a very low chance of showers is expected Thursday. Rain probabilities range from 10% to 20%, with temperatures again topping out between 61 and 66 degrees.
Friday brings dry conditions and a modest increase in temperatures. Highs are expected to reach 66 to 68 degrees across the region.
The more significant change arrives Saturday. Rain chances increase to between 40% and 80%, while daytime temperatures fall back into the 60 to 64 degree range.
The Weather Service did not provide specific rainfall amounts or identify particular highways or communities facing greater travel impacts. Drivers and people with outdoor plans should monitor updates as Saturday approaches and the timing of the rain becomes clearer.
Until then, cooler temperatures will be the main weather story. Wednesday night could be particularly chilly in some locations, with readings dropping as low as 39 degrees.
