According to the Kane County Sheriff 's Office, deputies responded to a residence in the 43W500 block of Otter Lane in unincorporated Kane County after receiving a report of a structure fire. Firefighters discovered the deceased woman inside the garage when emergency crews arrived.
The Sheriff's Office announced the investigation Saturday, Oct. 10, confirming that its Investigations Division is working alongside the Elburn Fire Department, Illinois State Fire Marshal's Office, Kane County Fire Investigation Task Force and Kane County Coroner's Office.
