GRANTS PASS, OR – Seven animals, including four dogs, a cat and two large pigs, were removed from a Southern Oregon residence Thursday after an animal neglect investigation led to the arrest of a woman facing seven criminal charges.
According to the Josephine County Sheriff's Office, the investigation began Sunday, Oct. 4, when Josephine County Animal Control received a complaint concerning possible animal neglect.
The following day, animal control officers contacted Roxanda Radomsky to investigate the allegations.
Authorities said officers offered assistance and possible solutions to help Radomsky address the situation involving the animals.
Investigators also established a deadline for correcting the concerns identified during their visit.
The sheriff's office reported that Radomsky allegedly failed to comply with the deadline.
On Thursday, Oct. 8, Josephine County Animal Control officers, assisted by sheriff's detectives and the Grants Pass Police Department , executed a search warrant at Radomsky's residence on Northeast Ridge Road in Grants Pass.
During the search, authorities seized four dogs, one cat and two large pigs from inside the home.
All seven animals were subsequently examined and are receiving necessary care, according to the sheriff's office.
Radomsky was arrested and transported to the Josephine County Adult Jail.
She faces one count of first degree animal neglect and six counts of second degree animal neglect.
The sheriff's office has not disclosed the specific conditions discovered inside the residence or the nature of the animals' medical needs.
Officials also have not released details about where the animals are being housed while receiving care.
The case involved cooperation between county animal control officers, sheriff's detectives and Grants Pass police.
No additional information was released in the department's Friday, Oct. 9, announcement.
The charges remain allegations, and Radomsky is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
