Jackson Township Crash Leaves One Dead After Head-On Collision

Jackson Township, OH – A fatal head-on collision occurred early on September 4, 2026, on State Route 104, drawing a significant emergency response to the Jackson Township area.

According to the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office, the incident took place at 06:32 AM on September 4, 2026. The collision involved two vehicles, a Nissan Versa and a Ford F-150, which impacted directly on the roadway.

The Nissan Versa was driven by James E. Terry III, and the Ford F-150 was operated by Donald H. Smith. Following the crash, emergency personnel arrived at the scene to provide medical assistance to both drivers involved in the wreck.

Both James E. Terry III and Donald H. Smith were transported from the site of the crash on State Route 104 to Grant Medical Center to receive treatment for their injuries. Officials later confirmed that James E. Terry III passed away following his transport to the medical facility.

The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office has indicated that the incident remains under active investigation. Further details regarding the circumstances of the collision have not been released at this time.
