Yellowhead Township, IL A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Yellowhead Township on Thursday evening. The crash occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on the shoulder of a local roadway.
According to preliminary reports, the pedestrian was walking near the side of the road when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle driven by an Indiana resident. Emergency crews arrived on the scene promptly, but the pedestrian was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Authorities have stated that the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
