According to the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay, the greatest chance for rain will be south of I 4 during the late afternoon and evening. Areas along the Nature Coast face only isolated showers.
Rain chances vary considerably across west central and southwest Florida. Tampa has about a 40% chance of rain, while Lakeland and Arcadia are near 50%. Chances increase to around 60% near Sebring and Fort Myers.
Farther north, the potential decreases. Brooksville has about a 40% chance, while the area around Chiefland is near 30%. Sarasota is also around 40%.
