Florence, SC – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the August shooting death of a 15 year old at a Florence motel, according to the Florence County Sheriff ’s Office.
According to investigators, 19 year old Na’zSatho Sincere Juett of Florence was arrested Tuesday and charged with murder in connection with the death of Manblesin Brightwell.
Brightwell, 15, was fatally shot Aug. 28 at the Suburban Motel on West Lucas Street in Florence, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office previously arrested Tyrik Antwan De’Andre Hicks on Aug. 31. Investigators allege Hicks and Juett entered the teen’s motel room and shot him, resulting in his death.
Juett was being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing as of Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Hicks remains at the Florence County Detention Center without bond, authorities said.
The sheriff’s office said Juett was charged with murder under South Carolina law. The charge is an allegation, and the case remains subject to court proceedings.
Investigators said the inquiry into Brightwell’s death remains active and additional arrests are possible. Authorities did not provide further details Tuesday about what allegedly led to the shooting or whether other suspects have been identified.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office announced the latest arrest Tuesday as investigators continued working on the month old homicide case.
