Cade California Electronic is recalling finger light toys nationwide because children can easily access the button cell batteries inside, creating a risk of serious injury or death. The recall was announced Sept. 10, 2026.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the toys violate the mandatory federal safety standard for toys because their batteries are not adequately secured against access by children.
If swallowed, button cell or coin batteries can become lodged in the body and cause severe internal chemical burns, serious injuries and death. Children are particularly vulnerable because the batteries may be mistaken for candy or other small objects.
The recall applies to the company’s finger light toys. The notice did not provide details about the retailers that sold the products, the number of units involved or identifying lot and product codes.
