Elmhurst Offers Safe Disposal for Unwanted Prescription Medications
Elmhurst residents can now safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs via a new secure drop box at the local police department lobby.

Elmhurst, IL – Residents looking for a secure way to clean out their medicine cabinets have a new resource available to them. The Elmhurst Police Department is now offering a safe disposal drop box for unwanted or expired prescription medications located directly in their lobby.
According to the Elmhurst Police Department , the service is provided to help the community safely manage the disposal of medications. Residents who wish to utilize the drop box are instructed to first remove all medications from their original containers. To ensure proper disposal, items must be placed in a sealed plastic bag before being deposited into the secure box.
