Fairview, OR – A 45 year old man was arrested after deputies say a vehicle crash in Coos County led to a disturbance in which a firearm was allegedly discharged Monday evening.
According to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Fairview Fire Department reported finding a motor vehicle crash on Fairview Road near Moon Creek Lane at approximately 6:27 p.m. Monday.
An officer from the Coquille Police Department responded to the scene along with Coos County sheriff’s deputies.
During the investigation, deputies said they learned that Jesse L. Munroe, 45 , had allegedly fired a weapon while involved in a disturbance stemming from the crash.
Authorities did not provide details in the release about what led to the collision, how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was injured.
After completing the initial investigation, deputies arrested Munroe on two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, along with reckless driving and menacing, according to the sheriff’s office.
Munroe was transported to the Coos County Jail , where he was booked on the listed charges.
The sheriff’s office did not say in its release whether a firearm was recovered at the scene or provide additional information about the circumstances surrounding the alleged gunfire.

The charges are allegations. Munroe is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
