Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore County Police Department has issued a traffic alert for the upcoming Dulaney High School homecoming parade, scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026. The festivities, which will include NASA Mission Commander and Dulaney High School alumnus Reid Wiseman serving as the parade's grand marshal, are expected to draw a large crowd and significantly impact local traffic flow.
According to the police department, the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. The route is set to run from Pot Spring Elementary School, turning right on Fallsbrook Road, right on Hartfell Road, and right on Padonia Road, before concluding at Dulaney High School. Authorities have announced that Padonia Road will be closed between Eastridge and Girdwood roads for approximately one hour during the event.
Additionally, motorists are advised that there will be no parking available on Padonia Road between Hartfell Road and Dulaney High School for the duration of the parade. Neighborhood streets near the route are also expected to experience brief closures as the procession moves toward the school. The police department will work to ensure that road closures remain as brief as possible to minimize disruption to the evening commute.
Residents who typically travel through these areas are encouraged to plan for alternate routes and expect potential delays. The police department asks that drivers remain vigilant and follow any posted detours during the parade times.
