Baltimore County, MD – Three 16 year old males have been arrested in connection with an allegedly armed carjacking reported Sunday night in Baltimore County, police announced Monday.
According to Baltimore County Police, officers responded at approximately 8:55 p.m. Sunday to the 6800 block of Loch Raven Boulevard in the 21286 ZIP code after receiving reports of an armed carjacking.
Detectives with the department's Carjacking Team later arrested three teenage males in connection with the investigation. Police did not identify the suspects in the announcement.
Authorities said all three teens have been charged with armed carjacking, first degree assault, armed robbery and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. The allegations have not been proven in court.
Baltimore County Police also said the juveniles have been waived to adult status. The department's announcement did not provide additional details about the waiver proceedings or specify when each arrest occurred.
Police did not release information about possible injuries, the type of weapon allegedly involved or whether the vehicle was recovered. Additional details about what investigators believe occurred before or during the carjacking were also not included in Monday's announcement.
The arrests follow the reported Sunday evening incident along Loch Raven Boulevard, a heavily traveled corridor in the Baltimore County area.
