MOMENCE Baker & Taylor is working to restore systems after the company confirmed this week it was a victim of a ransomware attack more than a week ago.
The company, which distributes books and digital media to libraries, educational institutions, and publishers, said in a statement that they are actively investigating the incident and working with third party forensic experts to remediate the situation.
Baker & Taylor said that some of their systems were taken offline as a precaution. They are currently in the process of rebuilding and restoring services, but the company noted that this may take some time.
The company did not provide any further details about the nature of the attack, but they did state that they are working with law enforcement to address the incident.
