Homicide Investigation: Guard Killed at Linthicum Facility; Suspect Arrested Linthicum, MD – A 37 year old Baltimore man was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon during a dispute between contracted security guards at a Northrop Grumman facility in Anne Arundel County. The Anne Arundel County Police Department has launched a homicide investigation into the incident.
Officers were dispatched to the scene in the 7300 block of Aviation Boulevard shortly after the shooting occurred. Upon arrival, emergency responders located the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators stated that the confrontation involved two security guards employed by a private contractor. The altercation escalated, resulting in the victim being shot. A suspect has been taken into custody, and police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
