Washington, D.C. Alanca 6 drawer dressers sold by Nanjing Wu Hai Smart Home Appliance Store are being recalled because they can tip over when not anchored to a wall, creating entrapment and serious injury or death hazards for children. The recall was announced Sept. 3, 2026.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the dressers are unstable and do not comply with mandatory safety requirements for clothing storage units under the STURDY Act. The agency said the risk is greatest when children climb on, lean against or otherwise interact with the furniture.
