Flagstaff, AZ – Northern Arizona will stay warm and sunny into Monday, with comfortable conditions in the higher elevations but temperatures approaching or exceeding 100 degrees in the lowest deserts.
According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, sunny weather will continue over the next few days. Easterly breezes are expected during the afternoons, while temperatures remain much warmer at lower elevations than across the high country.
The elevation difference will be substantial. Flagstaff is forecast to reach around 72 degrees Sunday and 73 Monday, while nearby lower elevation communities climb well into the 80s and 90s.
Sunday highs include about 92 degrees at Camp Verde, 93 at Black Canyon City and 99 in Phoenix. Page is forecast near 85, while Winslow and Holbrook should reach the lower 80s.
The hottest conditions will remain near the Colorado River and far western portions of the forecast area. Lake Havasu City could reach around 102 Sunday, while Blythe, California, is forecast near 103.
Monday brings little relief to the lowest elevations. Lake Havasu City is forecast near 99 degrees and Blythe around 101. Black Canyon City could reach 91, while Camp Verde is forecast near 88.
Higher elevations will remain considerably milder. Prescott is forecast around 81 Monday, with Flagstaff in the lower 70s and temperatures around 70 near the Grand Canyon.
For northern Arizona, the warm and sunny pattern will continue into the new week. Those spending time at lower elevations should prepare for much hotter afternoon conditions, while communities above 5,000 feet remain comparatively mild.
