Flagstaff, AZ – Sunny, dry fall weather is expected across northern Arizona Saturday and Sunday, with warm afternoon temperatures continuing in lower elevation communities.
According to the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, fair weather will persist through the weekend, with sunshine and blue skies across much of the region.
Saturday afternoon temperatures will vary substantially with elevation. Flagstaff is forecast near 74 degrees, while Williams reaches about 77 and the Grand Canyon area climbs into the upper 70s.
Warmer conditions are expected across lower elevations. The NWS forecast map shows temperatures around 91 degrees in Sedona, 92 in Wickenburg and 98 in Phoenix. Farther west, Lake Havasu City could reach about 99 degrees, while Blythe is shown near 102.
Across northeastern Arizona, temperatures are generally forecast in the 70s to lower 80s, including around 79 degrees at Page and Winslow and 81 at Holbrook.
The wide temperature range reflects northern Arizona's significant elevation differences, with mountain communities remaining considerably cooler than desert locations.
No rain, thunderstorms or weather hazards are highlighted in the NWS weekend outlook. Forecasters expect the sunny pattern to continue Sunday, making the weekend predominantly dry across the region.
Residents and visitors should expect another sunny day Sunday, with local temperatures continuing to depend strongly on elevation.
