Huntsville, AL – Huntsville experienced a sharp mix of weather during November 2025, including a low of 21 degrees, a daily snowfall record tie and a late month rainfall event that delivered 1.81 inches in a single day.
According to National Weather Service climate statistics for Huntsville, November finished with an average temperature of 54 degrees, with warmer afternoons offsetting several freezing nights across the Tennessee Valley.
The historical observations highlight changing late fall conditions in Madison County and the greater Huntsville metropolitan area.
Temperatures Fall Into the Low 20s Huntsville recorded an average high temperature of 65.6 degrees and an average low of 42.5 degrees during November.
The highest temperature reached 76 degrees, while the month's lowest reading fell to 21 degrees.
Four days recorded temperatures at or below freezing, creating conditions favorable for frost and freezing on exposed surfaces.
Despite those cold nights, the monthly average remained relatively mild because of warmer daytime readings.
Heavy Rain Arrives Late in November Huntsville received 2.64 inches of precipitation during the month.
The wettest day brought 1.81 inches, accounting for more than two thirds of the monthly total.
Measurable precipitation occurred on seven days, showing how much of November's rainfall was concentrated into a relatively small number of events.
Heavy rainfall over a short period can produce ponding on roads and reduced visibility, although the climate report does not document specific flooding or traffic disruptions.
Snowfall Record Tied The National Weather Service also reported a daily snowfall record tied Nov. 10, when trace snowfall was observed.
The amount was too small to produce measurable accumulation, but it matched the historical daily record.
The report illustrates how Huntsville can experience freezing temperatures, occasional snowflakes and substantial rainfall within the same November.
These figures reflect official observations at Huntsville's reporting station and may differ from conditions elsewhere across North Alabama.
