Detroit, MI – A Detroit man and three others have been charged following a fatal shooting at a Detroit block party that left two people dead and injured six others on November 3.
Johnny Lee Marsh III, 25, Eladeo Javier-Antonio Garcia, 22, Alfonso Anaya, 18, all from Detroit, and Amber Renee-Sue McIntee, 21, of Lincoln Park, face multiple charges from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in connection with the incident.
According to the Detroit Police Department, officers responded to a large gathering on the 6300 block of Devereaux Street around 1:34 a.m. after receiving reports of gunshots. Officers arrived to find shots being fired from a vehicle into a crowd. The suspects allegedly fled, leading police on a brief chase that ended with the arrest of Marsh and Garcia, while Anaya and McIntee were arrested days later.
The confrontation reportedly escalated when the suspects fired handguns into the crowd, fatally injuring a 15-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man. Several others were also struck, including teens from Detroit and Pontiac.
Marsh, Garcia, and Anaya face charges including First-Degree Murder, Assault with Intent to Murder, and multiple firearms violations. McIntee is charged with Tampering with Evidence and Lying to a Peace Officer.
All suspects are presumed innocent as the investigation continues.
