Davenport Shooting Leaves Two Injured Near Modern Woodman Park

Davenport, IA – Two people were injured in a late-night shooting in Davenport on Saturday. The Scott Emergency Communications Center reported the incident at approximately 12:29 a.m. Authorities say the victims were shot while driving in an unknown location in Davenport.

According to the Davenport Police Department, as officers were responding to the initial report, additional information was received about a second person in the vehicle also being injured by gunfire.

The victims, a 27-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, met police in the parking lot of Modern Woodman Park. Police say the man sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, while the woman suffered from more serious injuries.

Both victims were transported by Medic EMS to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed the vehicle had also been damaged by gunfire. No other injuries or damage were reported in the surrounding area.

The incident remains under investigation by the Davenport Police Department, and no further details are available at this time.
