Wilmington, OH – The Ohio Valley is bracing for a week of unsettled weather as summer-like moisture moves into the region. The National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH, predicts increased cloud cover today, followed by several chances for thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall throughout the week. Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds are a significant threat.

According to the National Weather Service, the probability of precipitation will remain high, with Bellefontaine, Celina, Chillicothe, and Cincinnati facing a 60-70% chance of storms from Monday through Wednesday. Dayton and Columbus have similar forecasts, with increased storm activity expected by mid-week.

Today, the Ohio Valley will experience a 40% chance of rain with temperatures reaching 87°F. The probability of thunderstorms increases to 60% on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures ranging from 83°F to 86°F. By Wednesday, there will be a slight break in storm activity, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 88°F. However, storm chances return Thursday and Friday, with temperatures climbing to the low 90s.
