Madison, WI – Southern Wisconsin may see isolated chances of severe thunderstorms this afternoon, potentially bringing 60 mph winds and hail.

According to weather models, these storms may be enhanced by a weak Mesoscale Convective Vortex (MCV) from morning storms, leading to moderate buoyancy and deep-layer shear around 25 knots. The stronger storms could produce isolated strong gusts exceeding 60 mph and marginally severe hail. This weather activity is expected to diminish by early to mid-evening.
