Lombard Garage Fire Causes $70K in Damages

Lombard, IL – A garage fire on South Charlotte Avenue caused an estimated $70,000 in damages Saturday night.

According to the Lombard Fire Department, the blaze was reported around 10:09 p.m., and crews arrived within five minutes to find heavy smoke. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines, bringing the fire under control in ten minutes. Their efforts contained the damage to the detached garage, preventing further loss.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Lombard Fire Investigations Unit. Assistance was provided by neighboring fire departments and the Lombard Police Department managed traffic control.
