Will County, IL – Crest Hill Fire Erupts in Vacant Two-Story House, Over 3 Hours to Extinguish

Crest Hill, IL – A vacant two-story house in Crest Hill erupted into flames late Friday evening, prompting a large-scale response from the Lockport Township Fire Protection District. 

According to reports the blaze began just before 7:30pm on Caton Farm Road, required assistance from multiple fire departments, including Plainfield and Romeoville, due to its intensity. 

Although the house was undergoing renovations and unoccupied at the time, the fire caused significant damage and took firefighters approximately three and a half hours to extinguish. 

There were no injuries reported. The incident is currently under investigation by the Lockport Fire Investigation Team.
