Kankakee County, IL – Four Hospitalized Following Route 50 Collision near Manteno

Kankakee County, IL – Four people were transported to the hospital after a collision on Route 50 near the 12000 North Road in the far northern region of Kankakee County. Near Manteno over the weekend. 

According to Illinois State Police reports, the accident occurred just before 11:30 a.m. on Saturday when an SUV attempting to cross Route 50 was broadsided by a northbound pickup truck heading towards Peotone. The collision resulted in injuries to both the drivers and passengers of the involved vehicles; however, these injuries were classified as minor. 

Emergency personnel were quickly on the scene, and local authorities are advising motorists to avoid the area as investigations continue.
