Corpus Christi, TX – Rain chances will stick around through the weekend across South Texas, with a few storms capable of producing locally heavy rainfall before drier and hotter weather takes over next week.
According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, Saturday brings a 40–55% chance of showers and storms, with highs in the upper 70s to upper 80s. Rain chances continue into Sunday (25–50%), with temperatures warming slightly into the upper 70s to near 90.
Some storms could produce brief heavy downpours, which may lead to minor, localized flooding—especially in low-lying or poor drainage areas.
By early next week, rain chances decrease as a warming trend sets in:
- Monday: Partly cloudy, highs 80–90°
- Tuesday: Warmer, highs 80–93°
- Wednesday: Hotter, highs 81–94°
Overnight lows will remain mild, generally in the upper 60s to mid 70s.
Residents should stay weather-aware this weekend, especially during heavier storms, and be prepared for a shift to more summer-like heat heading into next week.
