SATSUMA, Fla. – A 19-year-old man has been arrested after deputies say a domestic dispute turned deadly Friday night, leaving both of his parents dead at a home in Satsuma.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded late Friday, July 31, to a residence on Musket Drive after receiving reports of gunfire. When deputies arrived, they located the suspect, Uyleses Servin, who was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators allege that Servin fatally shot his parents during an argument that escalated into violence.
Authorities identified the victims as Cecilia Servin, 47, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and Miguel Servin, 51, who was transported for medical treatment but later died at a hospital.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Uyleses Servin has been charged with two counts of homicide, two counts of firing into a building or vehicle, three counts of aggravated assault, and one count of neglect of a child.
The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains active as detectives continue working to determine what led to the shooting. Officials said no additional information will be released this weekend to allow investigators time to conduct interviews and continue processing the case.
As with all criminal cases, the charges against the suspect are allegations, and he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
