Cleveland, Ohio – Residents across northern Ohio have one more opportunity to enjoy warm, dry weather Friday before a cooler, wetter pattern settles in for the weekend with multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, Friday will remain mostly sunny with afternoon highs ranging from 83 to 90 degrees across much of northern Ohio. Conditions stay dry through the day, although clouds will gradually increase Friday night with overnight lows between 64 and 72 degrees.
Rain chances return Saturday as a weather system approaches from the west. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to develop during the day, with afternoon highs cooling into the 78 to 86 degree range. Rain coverage will increase Saturday night, when the chance of showers rises to 90 percent.
Sunday is expected to be the wettest day of the weekend, with widespread showers and a chance of thunderstorms continuing across Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Sandusky, Mansfield, Lorain, Ashtabula and surrounding communities. High temperatures will remain much cooler, topping out between 76 and 78 degrees. Showers may linger into Sunday night before gradually tapering off.
