Missoula County, MT – Montana Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a semi-truck involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a highway construction worker early Wednesday morning.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the semi-truck traveled through a roundabout at approximately 5:18 a.m. before striking the worker around 6:25 a.m. on Highway 200 near Flowing Wells Road. Authorities said the truck continued westbound on Highway 200 without stopping.
Investigators described the vehicle as a gray semi-truck with a silver grille guard pulling a white trailer carrying a yellow oversized load. The truck also reportedly had black mud flaps featuring a red circle logo with white “Dorsen” lettering, an oversize load banner tied together in the middle, and no front license plate. A paper temporary tag was reportedly displayed in the windshield.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen the truck or recognizes its description to come forward. The investigation remains active as troopers work to identify the driver involved in the crash.
