Greene County, PA Vandalism: PSP Seeks Tips in Electrical Theft Case

Monongahela Township, PA – Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for widespread vandalism and the theft of electrical infrastructure at a property in Greene County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police Troop B, Waynesburg Barracks, an employee reported on Monday, June 15, that a site located in the 2700 block of Roy Furman Highway in Monongahela Township had been vandalized.

Investigators said a gate chain had been cut and electrical feeder wiring had been removed from a maintenance building located next to the property’s LSI building.

A follow-up inspection conducted on June 18 confirmed extensive damage and the theft of electrical infrastructure across the property, according to state police.

Authorities have not identified any suspects or released an estimated value of the stolen property or damage. The investigation remains active.

Pennsylvania State Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Waynesburg Barracks at 724-627-6151. Tips may also be submitted through PSP Tips by calling 1-800-472-8477 or online.

According to PSP Tips, callers may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest, solves a crime or cold case, or helps locate a wanted or missing person. Officials noted that reward funds are not paid by taxpayers.
