Houston, Texas – Gusty winds and warm temperatures climbing into the upper 80s will impact Southeast Texas today, with breezy conditions creating minor travel concerns on exposed roadways.

According to the National Weather Service in Houston-Galveston, south winds between 10 and 15 mph will increase with gusts up to 25 mph through the afternoon. Inland areas including Houston, Conroe, and College Station will see highs between 82 and 88 degrees, while coastal locations like Galveston remain slightly cooler in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Drivers along I-45, I-10, and Highway 59 may notice crosswinds, especially on elevated roadways and bridges. Skies will start mostly cloudy before gradually clearing later in the day.

Conditions shift tonight as winds ease and patchy fog develops, particularly in low-lying and coastal areas. Overnight lows will fall into the low to mid-60s inland, with upper 60s to near 70 degrees closer to the coast.

Rain chances remain low today but begin increasing by midweek, with scattered showers and storms expected to return. Residents should stay alert for changing visibility overnight and monitor updates as wetter conditions approach.
