Hastings, NE – A stretch of warm, dry, and mostly sunny weather is expected to continue across south-central Nebraska through Thursday, providing favorable conditions for travel, outdoor work, and summer activities.
According to the National Weather Service in Hastings, warm temperatures will persist through at least Thursday with daily highs generally ranging from the upper 80s to the lower 90s. Overnight lows are expected to remain mild, falling into the low to upper 60s Tuesday night before gradually warming into the upper 60s and lower 70s by Thursday morning.
Tuesday’s forecast calls for highs between 86 and 91 degrees with overnight lows of 62 to 67 degrees. Temperatures will climb slightly Wednesday and Thursday, with afternoon highs reaching 90 to 93 degrees across much of the region.
Winds are expected to remain light throughout the period, generally between 5 and 10 mph from the south or southeast on Tuesday and Wednesday before shifting more southerly on Thursday. Mostly clear skies and dry conditions are forecast each day, with no widespread rainfall expected through the end of the three-day outlook.
The extended stretch of dry weather should provide ideal conditions for agriculture, construction projects, and outdoor recreation, though residents spending extended time outside should stay hydrated during the warmest part of the afternoon.
