Today’s high reaches around 86 degrees, but Tuesday jumps to 95 degrees with heat index values approaching 100 degrees. Wednesday brings the peak of the heat, with highs expected near 97 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
The prolonged stretch of sunshine will quickly warm pavement, parking lots, and vehicles across Providence, Cranston, Warwick, Pawtucket, and East Providence. If you’re planning outdoor work, youth sports, or trips to area parks, schedule activities during the morning or evening when temperatures are lower.
