Green Bay, Wisconsin – Residents across northeast Wisconsin should prepare for several rounds of rain and thunderstorms through midweek as the region enters its wettest stretch of weather so far this week.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, the highest chances for showers and thunderstorms will occur from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday night. Rain probabilities climb as high as 80% to 90% across much of northeast and central Wisconsin, including Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Wausau, Manitowoc, Marinette and Stevens Point.

While a few thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon and evening across northern Wisconsin, forecasters do not expect widespread severe weather at this time. Instead, the primary concern will be repeated rounds of rainfall that could create wet roads, reduced visibility and localized ponding in low-lying areas.

Travelers along Interstate 41, U.S. Highway 10, U.S. Highway 29 and Interstate 43 should be prepared for changing conditions, particularly during the Wednesday morning and evening commutes when rain coverage is expected to be most widespread.

Temperatures will remain below average for mid-June throughout the week. Most communities will see daytime highs remain in the 60s and lower 70s, a notable contrast to the hotter conditions expected across parts of the central United States.

The unsettled pattern is expected to gradually ease later in the week, although occasional shower chances may linger into Thursday. Residents are encouraged to monitor updated forecasts as the timing and intensity of individual storm rounds become clearer.
