Othello, Adams County, Washington – Authorities have made an arrest in connection to a fatal crash that killed three teenage girls Sunday in Othello, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred Sunday, April 26, in the 2000 block of West Bench Road. Investigators say three female juveniles from the Othello area were killed in the crash, which has deeply impacted the local community.
In an update, deputies said probable cause was developed to arrest 19-year-old Presiliano Perez-Pineda of Othello on suspicion of three counts of vehicular homicide. According to authorities, Perez-Pineda was allegedly driving a separate vehicle involved in the incident. He was taken into custody and booked into jail.
Officials have not released the identities of the victims due to their ages. Next of kin have been notified, and support services are being offered to the families affected by the tragedy.
The roadway has since reopened, and traffic in the area has returned to normal. However, investigators say the case remains active as they continue to gather evidence and determine the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
