Cleveland, Ohio – Rain will taper off within hours this morning, but lingering clouds and cool temperatures will keep roads damp and visibility reduced across northern Ohio through the afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, a cold front is moving west to east across the region early Saturday, with rain ending by midday. Skies will remain mostly cloudy through the afternoon and evening, with cloud cover reaching up to 90% across cities including Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown.

High temperatures will struggle to climb, ranging from 51 degrees in Ashtabula to around 63 degrees near Mansfield and Canton. Along the I-90 and I-71 corridors, drivers may still encounter wet pavement and reduced visibility through early afternoon, especially in areas where rain lingers longest.

Conditions remain dry after noon, but the persistent cloud cover and onshore flow off Lake Erie will keep temperatures below seasonal averages. Outdoor plans may feel more like early spring than late April, particularly near the lakeshore where cooler air holds firm.

Gradual clearing begins Sunday, allowing temperatures to rebound. Highs are expected to return to the 70s by Monday, with the next update scheduled later today as skies begin to improve.
