Paducah, KY – Temperatures across western Kentucky are set to climb steadily through the weekend, with highs approaching 90 degrees by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, a warming trend will begin Thursday with highs ranging from 67 to 77 degrees under decreasing cloud cover.

Temperatures will continue rising Friday, reaching between 74 and 84 degrees with dry conditions expected.

By Saturday, highs are forecast between 75 and 85 degrees under sunny skies, setting the stage for the warmest day of the stretch on Sunday.

Forecast highs Sunday range from 79 to 89 degrees, with some locations nearing the 90-degree mark.

The National Weather Service notes that sunshine will dominate the forecast through the weekend, supporting a prolonged stretch of warm and dry weather.

A cold front is expected to move through Sunday night, bringing temperatures back down after the weekend warmth.
