Coos Bay, Oregon – A traffic stop at Highway 101 and Harriet Street led to a warrant arrest Saturday morning.

According to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, the stop occurred around 8:22 a.m. on February 28 after a deputy observed a vehicle failing to signal before turning from Highway 101 onto Harriet Street in Coos Bay.

Deputy Francis initiated the stop and identified the driver as Isaac Veloz, 45. Authorities said Veloz allegedly had multiple active warrants for his arrest at the time of the stop.

Veloz was arrested on the outstanding warrants and transported to the Coos County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials said he was additionally cited for Driving While Suspended (Violation), Driving Without Insurance, and Failure to Register a Vehicle.

The sheriff’s office emphasized that police action is not indicative of guilt and that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The early morning stop occurred along a heavily traveled section of Highway 101, a primary commuter route through Coos Bay.
