Pierce County, WA – A drug arrest, cow-related crash and suspicious vehicle call drew weekend responses.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to three unrelated incidents Saturday, February 21, across Puyallup and Graham.

The first call came around 2 p.m. at Heritage Park in Puyallup after reports of teens wearing ski masks and carrying what appeared to be Nerf-style toy guns. Deputies determined the group was filming a project video. No crime was reported.

Later that night around 1 a.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle in the 9600 block of Steele Street South for having no license plates. According to the sheriff’s office, the driver allegedly had multiple felony warrants and misdemeanor warrants. After taking the 33-year-old man into custody, deputies reportedly found three bags of narcotics in his pocket that tested positive for methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl. Investigators also reported finding a large amount of cash. Authorities allege the quantity of drugs suggested intent to distribute. He was booked for unlawful possession of narcotics with intent to deliver and for outstanding warrants.

Around 8:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 22900 block of Meridian in Graham after multiple callers reported a large cow in the roadway. One vehicle was totaled and another damaged after striking the animal. No serious injuries were reported. The Washington State Patrol is investigating the crash.

The incidents disrupted travel and prompted a visible law enforcement presence, particularly along Meridian.

For students and young drivers, officials remind residents to report hazards or suspicious activity promptly.
