Ring in Joy: Kankakee Salvation Army’s Bell Ringers and Toy Drive Unite for the Holidays

KANKAKEE, IL – As the festive season approaches, Kankakee residents have multiple opportunities to make a difference. 

The Salvation Army has launched its annual Christmas Toy Drive, urging the community to donate unwrapped toys for children in need. The collection will run until December 14th, with drop-offs accepted at 148 N Harrison Ave. Those keen to contribute can contact (815)-933-8421 or email [email protected].

Further amplifying the holiday cheer, the Salvation Army is set to host the 2023 Red Kettle Kickoff on Tuesday, November 14th, from 4 pm to 6 pm. The festive event, taking place at the KCC Main Campus in Iroquois Room 100, invites everyone for an evening of camaraderie and goodwill. Toy donations are warmly appreciated, ensuring that every child in Kankakee experiences holiday magic.
