Norfolk, England – Prince Andrew has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office as British police confirmed he is in custody and conducting searches at properties in Berkshire and Norfolk.

Thames Valley Police said officers are executing search warrants at multiple addresses as part of an ongoing investigation. The arrest follows the force’s assessment of a complaint concerning the alleged sharing of confidential material connected to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Authorities have not announced any formal charges. Police emphasized that an arrest is part of an active investigation and does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Images captured earlier today showed vehicles arriving at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk while officers conducted inquiries.

Prince Andrew, who turns 66 today, has consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing. Representatives have previously stated he rejects allegations tied to his past association with Epstein.

The development marks a significant escalation in scrutiny surrounding the Duke of York, whose links to Epstein have drawn international attention for several years. Legal experts note that misconduct in public office is a serious offense under U.K. law and can carry potential custodial penalties if charges are filed and proven.

Police said further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
