Clermont, FL – A 17-year-old girl from Clermont is missing after deputies say she left her home early Monday morning and traveled toward Orlando in a black sedan.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Leticia Garcia was last seen at approximately 1:22 a.m. Monday after willingly entering a black Toyota Camry bearing Florida tag 36FCBC. Investigators said the vehicle was observed making multiple U-turns on State Road 50 before ultimately heading eastbound toward Orlando.
Deputies said Garcia left her residence in the Clermont area prior to getting into the vehicle. Authorities added that she is believed to have a friend named “Desi” who lives in Orlando, though investigators said the exact address remains unknown.
Garcia is described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes. She stands about 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black sweatpants.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the case and is urging the public to come forward with any information regarding Garcia’s whereabouts. Detectives have not indicated whether foul play is suspected but continue to follow leads.
