Aurora, Illinois – A weekend stabbing inside a west-side Aurora residence sent one man to the hospital and led to an arrest, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
According to the Aurora Police Department, officers responded at approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday to a reported stabbing inside a home in the 500 block of Glenview Avenue in Kane County. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Police said emergency medical aid was provided at the scene before the victim was transported to a local hospital. His injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
Investigators determined the incident allegedly stemmed from a sudden altercation between acquaintances inside the residence. No additional victims were reported.
A 25-year-old Aurora man, identified by police as Jose Antonio Perez-Leon, was taken into custody at the scene. He was later charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, according to authorities.
