Morris, Illinois – A juvenile was arrested following a multi-agency search warrant related to a child pornography investigation.
According to the Morris Police Department, officers executed a search warrant at approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of East Chapin Street. The operation was carried out with assistance from the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Will County Sheriff’s Office, and the Grundy County REACT team.
Police said the warrant was sought and granted following an investigation into the alleged possession of known child pornography. During the search, investigators reportedly recovered material consistent with the allegations, and the investigation continued after the warrant was executed.
Authorities stated that a male juvenile was subsequently arrested for alleged possession of child pornography. Due to the individual’s age, no identifying information was released, and further details about the evidence recovered were not disclosed.
The Morris Police Department did not specify whether additional charges may be filed or if other individuals are under investigation. Officials also did not release information regarding how the investigation originated or how long it had been ongoing prior to the warrant being served.
