Nashua, NH – Two people were seriously injured early Sunday morning after a wrong-way driver caused a crash on the F.E. Everett Turnpike, leading to an arrest and temporary highway closures in Nashua.

According to New Hampshire State Police, dispatchers received reports around 1:35 a.m. Sunday of a silver Honda traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the F.E. Everett Turnpike. Troopers from the Troop B barracks responded and located the vehicle still traveling the wrong direction near Exit 4.

Police said Trooper Shane Mason activated emergency lights and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver allegedly failed to stop and continued traveling the wrong way for approximately another half-mile before crashing into a Nissan Rogue.

The driver and sole occupant of the Honda was taken into custody and identified as Madison Bryson-Poliquin, 21, of Nashua, according to State Police. Bryson-Poliquin was arrested and charged with felony reckless conduct (deadly weapon), misdemeanor DUI, and a violation-level reckless conduct charge.

Authorities said Bryson-Poliquin was later released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Nashua District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026.

The driver and a passenger inside the Nissan Rogue were transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Multiple lanes of the F.E. Everett Turnpike were shut down for approximately one hour while investigators processed the scene and cleared the roadway. Traffic was reopened later Sunday morning.

State Police continue to investigate the crash and urge anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dash camera footage to contact authorities.
