Rensselaer, IN – Three suspects are in custody following a coordinated, multi-agency investigation into a string of alleged burglaries across Northwest Indiana, police confirmed Thursday.

According to the Rensselaer Police Department, officers responded to a burglary alarm at a business near College Avenue and Kankakee Street around 4:04 a.m. on October 30, 2025 (Thursday). When officers arrived, they allegedly discovered the business had been burglarized, though the suspects had already fled the scene.

During the investigation, police learned a similar burglary had occurred earlier that morning in White County, Indiana, with another incident later reported in Jasper County. Investigators from Rensselaer Police, White County Sheriff’s Office, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, and ATF determined the burglaries were likely connected.

Surveillance footage from nearby businesses helped identify a suspect vehicle, which was traced to a rental agency in Illinois, police said. Later that day, law enforcement tracked the vehicle to Louisville, Kentucky, where officers conducted surveillance. The suspects were allegedly arrested upon returning to the vehicle, and evidence linked to the burglaries was reportedly recovered.

Police identified the suspects as Kory Marion, 19, of Church Hill, Tennessee; Clarence Carr, 20, of Naperville, Illinois; and Brianna Cook, 21, of Naperville, Illinois. All three are currently being held on local charges in Louisville. Warrants have been issued for their arrests in Indiana, and extradition is pending.

In connection with the Rensselaer burglary, all three suspects have been charged with Level 2 Felony and Level 5 Felony burglary, along with three counts of Level 5 Felony theft and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. Warrants related to the Jasper County burglaries have also been issued. The White County investigation remains ongoing.

Police noted the suspects were identified and arrested within 12 hours, more than 200 miles from Rensselaer.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
