MORRIS – A man injured when his motorcycle was in a multi-vehicle high speed wreck last Friday allegedly had three times the legal alcohol limit in his system at the time of the crash.

According to Morris Police, it happened on downtown Morris around 6:30 p.m. at Route 6 and 47 when a motorcycle driven by 38-year-old Justin Watkins of Crest Hill hit the side of a Minooka woman’s vehicle before bouncing off and hitting another vehicle driven by a Coal City woman.

At the time of the wreck, Watkins was reportedly clocked driving 94 mph in a 35 mph zone by a nearby Sheriff’s deputy.

Watkins, who was the only injured party in the wreck; was transported to Morris Hospital where his blood alcohol content registered three times the legal limit.
