WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Authorities are investigating the death of Selvin Adonis Gutierrez Martinez, 26, whose body was discovered on the median of Interstate 40 eastbound near the 280-mile marker in West Memphis on Sunday evening, April 6, 2025.
According to the Arkansas State Police (ASP), the discovery was made around 7:30 p.m. The deceased had been reported missing earlier that day. Martinez, originally from Honduras, was last seen before his disappearance. The body was transported to the Arkansas Crime Lab for further analysis to determine the cause of death.
ASP investigators suspect Martinez may have been struck by a vehicle, though the investigation is still ongoing. This discovery is part of an active probe by the ASP Criminal Investigation Division (CID), and authorities are working to piece together the circumstances surrounding his death.
